A true islander of Vengsøy. Together with my husband, Nils-Jørgen, we've built the Vengsøy Rorbuer lodges in a maritime Log Cabin style where you feel one with the Arctic nature and at the same time you feel the tranquillity and peace.

I embrace the local lifestyle of fishing, skiing and hiking. However the reality is doing the real Arctic work: shoveling snow from the entrance for a warm welcome to our guests.

Of course, if you want to go for a hike, fishing or skiing... just ask for guiding.

The lodges that have been developed by Maria and Nils are lovely and are in such a beautiful and tranquil location. My fiancee and I had a fabulous time and will most definitely be returning. Absolutely first class from start to finish! Thank you :-)
