One of the small things people remember When spring arrives on Vengsøy, the landscape slowly begins to change. The snow melts from the mountains, the light stays longer in the evenings, and fresh green grass starts appearing along the roads and open fields. And then the sheep return outside. For many of our guests, this becomes one of the most unexpectedly memorable parts of staying here. Not because it’s dramatic or planned. But because it feels simple, calm, and real.

WHY WE CREATED VENGSØY
More than a place to stay Vengsøy started with a feeling. Years ago, after travelling and spending time in places like Lofoten, we came home thinking: why couldn’t we create something meaningful here too? Not something big or polished.
But something honest. A place people could arrive at and immediately feel the difference. We are Maria and Nils-Jørgen, and together we have built Vengsøy Rorbuer step by step. What started with a dream and a few ideas has slowly become a small
