From Tromsø Airport, it is a 30-minute drive to the ferry port in Bellvik. From there, you take the ferry to Vengsøy.
Once you arrive at the ferry port on Vengsøy, the cabins are just a 10-minute walk or a 1-minute drive away. Turn right at the intersection, and you will see the cabins shortly on your right-hand side.

No, you do not need to book the ferry in advance.
Simply arrive and line up in the ferry queue. The queue starts by the small red building on the right-hand side at the beginning of the turning area near the ferry quay.
Please do not stop in front of the barrier.

Yes, you can take a taxi from Tromsø to the ferry port in Bellvik.
We recommend using Tromsø Taxi. On their website, you can check the price and book your ride in advance for a specific time.

To find the correct fare, enter your pickup location (for example Tromsø Airport) and Bellvik ferry port as your destination. See the image below for guidance on what to fill in.
Yes, it is possible to take a bus to Vengsøy, but please note that departures are limited.
There is a regular bus service on Thursdays, with departures from Vengsøy to Tromsø and back again in the afternoon.
There are also bus departures on other days, but schedules vary and should always be checked in advance.

Enter Bellvik ferjekai and Tromsø Lufthavn (or where you plan to go) as your route. Make sure to select your travel date and time to see scheduled departures. If no date and time are selected, the results will show real-time options only.
Check-in is from 15:30.
Check-out is by 11:00.
If you expect to arrive outside of check-in hours, please contact us in advance. We cannot guarantee availability, but we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Check-in is from 15:30 at our reception, located right next to the cabins.
When you arrive, we will welcome you in person and provide all the information you need for your stay, including tips for local hikes and experiences.
If you haven’t already booked the jacuzzi or sauna, you can do so upon arrival. We do, however, recommend booking in advance if you have a preferred time, as they are very popular.
In the reception, you can also visit our small shop, where we offer a selection of local handmade products.
Payment is done in advance of your visit. We accept: Visa, Mastercard or bank transfer.
If you need to pay something whilst you stay here you pay with credit card.
Yes, there is a local grocery store called Matkroken located just across the road from our cabins.
The store offers a good selection of everyday essentials, including fresh vegetables and fruit, bread and spreads, meat, frozen items like pizza, and ingredients for baking. You’ll also find a selection of drinks, including beer.

(Closed between 12:00 – 14:00)

Yes, we offer Wifi free of charge in all our cabins.
Yes, you can rent a boat from 1st of May to 15th of September.

Yes, baby beds are available for rent, but they are not included as standard in the cabins.
Please add a baby bed to your booking in advance, or contact us if you need assistance.
Dogs are allowed in Cabin 1 for an additional fee of NOK 500.
Please let us know in advance if you are bringing a dog.
No, smoking is not allowed inside the cabins.
Yes, the tap water in Norway is of excellent quality. Bottled water can also be bought in the grocery store next to the lodges.
No, there is no fireplace in the cabin.
However, you are welcome to use our outdoor bonfire area, which is available for all guests.
Yes, both the jacuzzi and sauna are private and must be reserved in advance.
You can add your reservation when making your booking. Afterward, please contact Maria at maria@vengsoyrorbuer.com with your preferred time slot.

9:00 PM – 11:00 PM
If you haven’t booked in advance, you may still be able to reserve a time upon arrival, subject to availability.
Yes, the cabins have well-equipped kitchens suitable for preparing meals, along with basic cleaning essentials such as dishwashing soap, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, and hand soap.
You will also find some tea, coffee, salt, pepper, and cooking oil.
No, please leave your shoes at the entrance. In Norway it is not common to wear shoes inside to prevent bringing dirt inside and damaging the floor. Also, its not allowed to walk inside with spikes on your shoes.
Yes, but only beverages with less than 4,7 % alcohol. The nearby local grocery store have a selection of alcoholic beverages.
The ferry is free of charge for both passengers and vehicles.
If you miss the ferry, you will need to take the next available departure.
We recommend checking the schedule in advance and allowing a bit of extra time for your journey.
The ferry runs regularly and is a reliable part of local transport.
However, in rare cases, departures may be delayed or cancelled due to weather conditions or technical issues.
If this happens, the ferry operator will work to resolve the situation as quickly as possible or arrange alternatives where available. Some waiting time should be expected.
In cases of severe weather, crossings may be temporarily suspended, and it may not be possible to travel to or from the island.
We recommend allowing some flexibility in your travel plans and ensuring you have valid travel insurance.
